About

I’m Andrew, a largely self-taught builder based in Toronto. I tend to approach unfamiliar things by trying to understand how they work and what they were built to do.

I like getting far enough into a problem to understand what is actually going on. Sometimes that means taking something apart; sometimes it means questioning an assumption or trying a small experiment. That habit connects my interests in software, robotics and fabrication.

I use coding agents throughout my projects. A lot of the work is deciding what to ask for, giving them useful context and checking whether the result holds up when I try it. I keep records of decisions so I can return to a project without having to reconstruct all the thinking behind it.

I enjoy learning from people who see things differently or understand something I don’t. The projects here give me plenty to work on and plenty of reasons to compare notes.
